Jegos Open Season In Texas

The Jegos head to Odessa, Texas for their season opener at the Odessa College Classic.

A new season is upon us as the Ladies of TOCC head to Texas to play some tough competition in their opening games. Thursday, they play #15 ranked South Plains, who in the past is know to be a conference powerhouse.

On Friday the Ladies play against Midland College who was picked second in their conference preseason poll.

And lastly, on Saturday, the Jegos will match up against the hosts of the tournament, #22 Odessa College.

The Jegos have come in and turned around the program thus far with some new faces. They are lead by Head Coach Mike Gonzales and Assistant Coach Nalani Hernandez. "We are excited to be here in this position. We want to help the program grow and we believe this is a great place to start" Gonzales states as he prepares for this weekend. Hernandez adds "We want to be able to play at a higher level, so no better place to start than here in Texas against these major teams".

The Jegos have 7 returners from last years team with an additional 8 with a few transfers and a freshmen mix. They come from Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico, to join the squad on the Nation.
