First Half of Conference Done

First Half of Conference Done

After a succesful start and jump on the season, the Lady Jegos have finished the first half of ACCAC play and come up with a 5-6 record.

After the winter break, the Jegos have played Cochise, Scottsdale, Eastern Arizona, South Mountain, and #19 Chandler-Gilbert.

The Jegos went 2-3 in the start of January but a key victory over #19 Chandler-Gilbert has helped them secure a second place spot in the Division II Region thus far.

At this rate, it is still anyones conference, but the Lady Jegos are still hopeful that there is a playoff spot for them.

Coach Mike Gonzales states, "We have been working for so long, and at this point, we just need to stay consistent. We are right there but we want to get better".

Sophomoes Elisa Gonzales and Rhiannon Singer have stepped up in the last 5 games putting up double figers in both points and rebounds at some stretch of the season showcasing their leadership.

Freshman Ana Martinez is now shooting 30% from the 3-point line when coming off the bench, giving the Jegos key shots down the stretch.

The schedule starts all over as the second half of ACCAC play begins today, January 23rd, agaist Mesa Community College at Baboquivari High School. Tip off is at 5:30 pm
